Because of COVID-19, we can only use food prepared in a licensed commercial kitchen and packaged as individual servings. 

Sponsors may also send a video to guests to encourage guests and add the personal touch we are missing during this time of social distancing.


HOPE Adult Shelter is in need of host groups to prepare and serve meals throughout the summer.

Position Available: Service Coordinator
​

HOPE Adult Shelter and HOPE Recuperative Shelter 

 Position: Part-time or Full-time Shelter Service Coordinator

Reports To: Shelter Manager

1st, 2nd, & 3rd Shifts Available

Rate of Pay:  TBD

General Responsibilities
  • Coordinators will manage the operations of shelter ensuring the safety of all guests
  • Each Coordinator will manage supportive services ensuring every guest is connected to appropriate internal and external services in a timely manner.
  • Coordinators will comply with kitchen policies.
  • Coordinators will work with the Shelter Manager and volunteers to ensure each shelter guest has their basic needs met.
  • Coordinators will track and report delivery of all services provided, via case notes and incident reports.
  • Coordinators will implement programming for guests and volunteers, as assigned by the Shelter Manager.
  • Coordinators will carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Shelter Manager.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
One of the following: two years of college in a human service field; or two years of employment in a shelter, mental health agency or adult foster care setting; or mental health training (peer support, mental health tech, etc); or health training (EMT, CNA, RN etc).

Skills: Ability to handle multiple co-occurring tasks and situations; ability to firmly and politely delegate roles and responsibilities among volunteers and guests, sometimes during tense situations; ability to make quick, but effective, decisions; comfort with speaking in front of a group; basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn web-based software.

  • college, experience in similar role or applicable training: 2 years (Required)
